The City/County Downtown Warsaw Parking Structure project is about more than adding parking spaces. It is about creating the capacity needed for downtown Warsaw to continue growing.
Located in the heart of downtown, the proposed parking structure would provide at least 350 parking spaces while supporting future development opportunities throughout the area. By consolidating parking into a central location, existing County-owned surface lots could be redeveloped, creating space for new restaurants, housing, offices, entertainment venues, and other community amenities.
The project has the potential to encourage an estimated $20 to $30 million in private investment while helping strengthen downtown as a destination for residents and visitors alike. In addition to improving parking availability, the structure would support long-term economic growth and make it easier for future development projects to move forward.
By investing in this project, the community can make better use of existing land, support downtown businesses, and create opportunities for continued growth. The parking structure serves as an important piece of the foundation for a thriving and active downtown Warsaw for years to come.
PROJECT UPDATE: The vision is moving forward. The City of Warsaw has officially approved a contract to begin design work on the downtown parking structure. This step sets the stage for the next chapter of revitalization, as architects and planners bring the concept to life.
